The management of The Polytechnic, Ibadan, Oyo State said it arrested a suspected cultist on Monday.
The suspect, whose name was given as Harry Okereke, was allegedly arrested at the school gate with a gun.
A statement by the institution’s

believed that Okereke had a sinister motive for his visit to the school.
He added that the 22-year-old was not
only arrested by the school security operatives with a gun, he was also
nabbed with live cartridges.
The statement read in part, “The

higher institution in Ibadan.
“He claimed to have visited Ibadan Poly
to see a friend called Pumasi. Members of staff, students and the entire
community in the school are hereby advised to be security conscious.”
The institution said the suspect had been handed over to the police.
The Public Relations Officer of the state command, Olabisi Okuwobi-Ilobanafor, was not available to confirm the arrest.
However, an officer who pleaded
