First Lady Donates Medical Items to Nyanya Bombing Victims

Dame Patience Jonathan, the First Lady of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, today Friday 18th April 2014, donated medical items to hospitalised victims of the Nyanya bombing.
The unfortunate incident which reportedly claimed over 75 lives, occurred on Tuesday at a bus garage.
Although Dame was not present to distribute the items, she was represented by Rani Ibrahim, the National Coordinator of her non-profit organization – theWomen for Change and Development Initiative.
According to Vanguard, items were donated at the National Hospital, Asokoro.
It is where victims of the blast are being treated.
“We want to show love in the spirit of the Easter to aid our brothers and sisters recuperate well. We also want to use this opportunity to call on the perpetrators to embrace dialogue and shun violence”, she said in a statement.
